What I Write

I write frightened female protagonists on the verge of unstoppable courage; I write fearless female antagonists with more power than they can manage.

I write TV pilots about women forced to face this haunting mess. I do my best to keep the setting scary, the action hairy and the characters quirky and funny.

I write about the death of social discourse and the people who keep talking — about the demise of democracy and those who keep rebuilding.

I write about people of many races, classes and sexualities without making race, class and the sexuality the problem.

I write about faith: the kind that helps, the kind that hurts. I like to place it where you least expect to find it.
